How to Install Ubuntu into a Bootable Pendrive

Ubuntu is among the favorite Linux distributions. It is freely available for both personal and enterprise use. Every six months a new updated version of Ubuntu is released and each version is supported for 18 months.
Now you can carry ubuntu into a bootable pendrive which can be run on any modern computer or laptop. This comes in handy when you work at different systems. You will need a minimum of 2 gb Pen-drive.

Steps to Install UBuntu into USB from Windows Pc

  • Download Iso image of your favorite ubuntu version from the official website at  Download

  • Now download and install Universal USB Installer . This tool will be used to make your pendrive bootable.
  • Attach Usb into your system and run Universal USB installer.
  • Now select Ubuntu from the dropdown list in Step:1 of Universal USB installer. 
  • Now click on browse and locate the ISO file of Ubuntu which you had downloaded earlier.
  • In step 3 select the drive letter of USB drive. Make sure that you select the correct drive as it will be formatted during next step.
  • Now click on create button. This will intitiate the installation process. It will take some time for the installation process to finish.
  • Restart your computer after installation process is finished and set the priority of Pen-drive in booting devices of Bios.
  • Now your system will run Ubuntu from Pen-drive device.
You can attach this Pendrive device to any system and boot ubuntu.
